We are a decentralized community, driven by the simple notion that together we can design a better world. In collaboration with our partners, our events and network help give visibility to designs that normally would not have any. In our events, the participants, viewers, and judges are part of the local community they will affect. In collaboration with local architect schools, RE attorneys, developers, and suppliers we create an environment to showcase hidden talent under the guidance of industry leaders.
What We Do
Rethink Urban Design is a community around the world driven by the simple notion that together we can design a better world.
We partner organizations like the Church of Business and Pueblo to create a more sustainable housing option for the general public by hosting design competitions tailored to an area.
The participants, viewers, and judges are part of the local community they will affect. In collaboration with nearby architect schools, RE attorneys, developers and suppliers we create an environment to showcase hidden talent in a mentored space. Our philosophy focuses on enabling creativity on the areas that need it the most.

RETHINK The Process
How It Works
Start or join a team to tackle the challenge ahead. Form groups made of different disciplines to work towards a better design.
Create an innovative design that will inspire residents to want to rebuild.
Show judges, local natives, and the world your creations. Our event will have many digital mediums to allow maximum exposure to your designs
Sustainable Housing Solutions That Solve Important Issues
Lack of natural elements
Outdated designs gives the illusion nature is isolated from us.
Most homes don't have driveways making transportation storage difficult
Existing structures do not reflect or enable peoples social habits
Limited capture of energy and use of energy efficient products.
The average home in certain areas is about 70 years old
homes should not just be 1 or 2 family based.
Free your creative mind, design with purpose, and help a rising city by showcasing a vision of its sustainable future. The recent market trends have forced migrations to areas close to but outside of cities. Most areas near the city are not ready for the influx of new residents due to the changing circumstances.
Furthermore, the existing inventory is outdated and in dire need of a long term strategy if it will be livable for the next 100 years. The current status quo of housing has left behind huge areas in the existing downtown region out of the conversation on urban development nearby.
Our aim is to inspire a new level of sustainability and cutting edge design that will lead to a higher quality of life. Our events will be streamed live and give residents an opportunity to view various designs made for the area they live in. Teams will be given architectural specifications and guidelines they must meet to submit and present their projects.
